Hey thanks everyone! Yeah this bike has been a blast to ride so far.
I commuted on it this week and only got the fenders on thursday night
(took about 3 hours to install). I finally got shellac on the bars
yesterday afternoon and I'll add a few snaps later on with the shellac
on the bars. Wow, that added to the appeal, IMHO.

I have never ridden anything bigger than a 32mm tire regularly and
these Marathons at 42mm are super cushy. Not slow or detracting from
the good feel of the road. Just a little more like floating over the
grit on the road instead of chattering your teeth on it. Grant says
they are really closer to 37.5mm but on the Dyad rims they came to
41.5mm on my digital caliper. The VO fenders are 52mm so there is
just enough room for the 42s. This frame fit the fenders
beautifully. First bike I've fitted them on where I didn't have to do
something evil to the fender where it passes through the chain stay.

As for the Cardiff saddle, it's very very nicely made. Without any
wear on either the Brooks or the Cardiff they are equally well made.
The Brooks has a bit better metal work in the frame (primarily where
the rear stays meet the frame). We'll see how things turn out over
the long run. The saddle was actually tougher than a new Brooks when
I first got on it. I had to take the tie off the bottom to loosen it
up a bit. Even then it was a bit tough. But now I've ridden it for a
week it's starting to feel good. I way in at 230lbs so I'm likely to
break this thing in faster than an average rider (and I ride every
day, rain or shine). So we'll see how it goes. I do like it quite a
bit, it looks fantastic, and the quality is really quite high. I love
Brooks, I will buy more Brooks saddles, but I think competition is
good, so I wanted to try it.

I'm loving this bike!
