Shimano's FD "recommended" limits are self fulfilling essentially.
Meaning, if they offer a drivetrain in say 22/32/44, they're going to say the limit is 22. Those that use half step gears know how these "limits" get blown off the charts. A 105 double 9sp FD can easily handle 24t in a 24/44/48. It's rated at 15t I believe. The new mtb FD's are getting pretty weird, and I'm glad I don't have to use one. Don't let the limits fool you though, you don't know until you try it out. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
