I'm considering heading to NZ for several weeks, and I'm wondering if it's possible to inn-to-inn or hostel tour. Ideally, I'd like to get away with simply a handlebar bag, and a saddlebag. If you've done this, let me know how easy/hard it is, and what you'd have done differently.
