Thanks to everyone who sent in their recommendations for generously  
padded gloves.  After reading everyone's emails and looking around  
online, I settled on the Spenco "Tour" model.  I couldn't find them at  
any of my local bike shops (there are four here in Davis), so I have  
two pairs coming via mail order.

I'll post a review after I have a chance to use them.

Thanks also to the list members who suggested a different bar  
position.  I've adjusted the bars as much as I can, but a truly "flat"  
position was quite uncomfortable when I tried it.
