My friend Chela's got a Saluki and an All Rounder (just repainted by JB.) Our loading dock (in an obscure UT building concealed by a cloaking device) is something of a Rivendell lair. My girlfriend has a Bleriot (that remains in like new condition due to her diligence in not riding it.) My Heron is sort of a Rivendell cousin and is quite comfortable for long hauls. I recently picked up the entire run of the Reader which was instrumental in my decision to order a custom. I thought I wanted a Rene Herse, but the power of Grant's prose finally won me over. Uh, plus I can't exactly afford an RH.
Definitely in favor of a Riv ride. A little off topic, I'm showing The Flying Scotsman at Mellow Johnny's (4th and Nueces) tonight at 7pm if any of you can make it. I'll be the dude in the Hetchins T-shirt. I'd love to see your bikes!
