In case y'all are weeping over the avoirdupois of your Quickbeams, know this: the frame 'n; fork of my 58 cm 2003 road custom is about 7 lb, IIRC.
OTOH, it built up as a 18.75 lb gofast with no silly-light parts (1X10 drivetrain, Phil Ti bb, ti stem bolt, Dura Ace seatpost, Flite because I like Flites, Speedplay X-2s). Now it's a commuter with a fixed drivetrain, Honjos, MKS RX-1s with Somas and straps, and rack (Fly, 12 oz), not to mention the Honka Hoota, but it's still lighter than the 58 cm 1973 Motobecane Grand Record by a considerable margin, tho' the frame and fork of the M are lighter. Oh, the 559 wheels when built with Ultegra hubs weighed about 1550 grams. Now its Ultegra front and Surley rear. My gofast '99 Riv 57 cm 650c fixie weighed 17.75 lb until I swapped the X-2s for RX-1s and clips and straps.
