Eric: is the danger of theft real, or notional only? I was fortunate to be able to commute (when I did commute) on Rivendells, since I could park my bikes indoors. Isn't there an indoor closet or workroom you could use? I've used, variously, my office; spare offices; a lounge; a just-big-enough maintenance closet -- the cleaners don't come until after work; at church I've used the men's bathroom, a row of chairs (on top of) in a classroom, a shed, and simply an out of the way corridor.
