My wife and I are re-aligning our priorities voluntarily, and are moving into a much smaller apartment; as such, we're paring our bicycles down to two, and we've decided those should be the new Rivendell Quickbeams we're waiting to arrive in a couple of months. But because of that, I'm going to sell a treasured bike--my 1995 Waterford 1400 that I purchased new nearly 14 years ago. I'm not sad about it--we feel strongly about the new direction we're going in--but I would like the bike to go to someone who would fully appreciate its craftsmanship and abilities, if you know what I mean!
It's a 21" red frame with white pinstriping and a Ritchey fork, and was built up with respecting the builder's name: parts from White Industries, Syncros, Salsa, WTB, Ritchey, Shimano XT, Chris King, etc. I'll be taking pictures later this week--I changed out the DirtDrops for Albatross bars to see how I'd like them on the Quickbeam (they're wonderful), and switched out the B17 for a B67 I have lying around for the same reason. E-mail me if you'd like to see the bike in its current state, but remember it's not normally set up like that! :-) The frame has never been crashed, the paint is in great shape, and superficial scratches are few. The bike is currently in its "Rivendell" phase (Nitto DirtDrops with Bar-Con shifters, Brooks B-17 saddle), but I could easily put the original bar/stem/saddle back on if you'd rather buy it that way.
