Another one in the can. 60 miles on the beach is hart to beat, just
sayin'. Ride left Oceanside, making its way through Camp Pendleton, then
past Trestles along old PCH and into San Clemente. From there it's probably
80% bike path (mixed terrain!) to Doheney State Beach. Hung out there
looking at the marine mammal display and chillin' with the Girl Scouts. Six
year olds make you appreciate these things :-) PERFECT weather, although a
bit of a headwind on the return leg. I only rode the middle 20 miles of the
ride due to getting over a virus. But I did pull an extra 100lbs of rolling
cargo (that occasionally supplied propulsion). I hope everyone had a good
time!

Most folks were from San Diego and Redlands, but Aaron came down from Santa
Monica (proving that yes indeed, the freeways do go south, L.A. people!!!!)
and our guest of honor, Jim Thill joined us all the way from Minneapolis,
MN. I mean if he can make the effort... :-) Tim W. made it out for a bit
of the ride, as he's doing a West Coast run from Santa Fe, NM.

So, long-short: Beautiful day, good people, even pizza and beer. My photos
are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/cyclotourist/sets/72157615341007502/
Keep an eye out for the others and join us in April! Now accepting route
suggestions/submissions!

There should be a bit of a get-together at the San Diego Bicycle Show on
either the 4th or 5th as well!
