In Frank Berto's "The Dancing Chain", he mentions that he "became unpopular with the Campagnolo fraternity" by reporting that the SunTour VGT (at that time $10) shifted better than the Rally. It seems to be at best damned by faint praise by those who have chosen to comment upon it. The 1974 version was supposed to be similar to the Shimano Titlist. There was also a Rally 3550 touring derailleur which used the upper body of the Nuovo Gran Sport and cage/parallelogram of the earlier model. Not reviewed well by Berto, certainly. - Jim PS - And thanks for getting me to pull out that book - I'd forgotten what gear geek's delight it is. -- Jim Edgar cyclofi...@earthlink.net Cyclofiend Bicycle Photo Galleries - http://www.cyclofiend.com Current Classics - Cross Bikes Singlespeed - Working Bikes "Whatever you do will be insignificant, but it is very important that you do it."
