I've switched to front loading for the daily necessaries, so no longer need this saddlebag and seatpost-clamping support. They work well together because the support slips into a pocket on the bottom of the bag. The bag is a useful size (8.2 liters) and can carry a jacket on the outside under its compression straps. The side pockets, which secure with shock cord, are handy for small stuff. The bag looks good in a casual sort of way ... a bit like upscale green Army surplus, if you can imagine that. The bag is in excellent functional shape, but it's not 100% original in appearance. I modified the logo tab so it will take a clip-on tail light. The bag came with an aluminum bar support across the top. It had sharp corners that caused abrasion at both ends. I replaced the bar with a dowel that has rounded ends. I had a shoemaker install leather patches over the abraded cloth. The patches should eventually match the straps on the bag, but presently they are lighter in color. I can send a photo. The support keeps the bag off the tire or fender and minimizes sway. It is in excellent condition, though its rubber post protector could stand replacing with a bit of inner tube or similar. It's adaptable (can be bent) and works well. $95 PayPal for the set shipped to CONUS, a savings of $68 (more if you include shipping). --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
