The problem comes when the tube is a bit on the large side. I found the Specialized 559 x 1.5-1.75 tube to be rather on the fat side for a 650B Col de la Vie tire. Mounting the tire without pinching part of the tube under the bead was difficult because there was just so much of the tube.
