I raced cyclocross with my Redwood (the giant, simpler version of the Ram) for a year, before i got a Surly to absorb the abuse instead. The Redwood was a fine race bike, with fat-ish knobbies in it, but would have suffered some on muddy courses. Luckily, it tends to stay pretty dry around here in the fall - it's either not raining, or frozen, which is also dry. A better bet would be a cantilever-braked Romulus (the canti-Rom), if you can find one anywhere. Or race the Quickbeam, if you're into the singlespeeding. I raced this whole CX season singlespeed, and i'm not sure i'd go back to racing geared now, i liked it a lot. -- Bill Connell St. Paul, MN --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
