when i got my 1st riv
in 1994
put on a b72
figured the allrounder seemed more touring than racing...
anyhoos i found it "bounced" way too much for my taste
with each and every pedal stoke
tho i have numerous pals n customers who ride that saddle
in town and around
with no complaint
the champion flyer
fits so well
basically a b17 with springs
dont notice any movement
(tho it takes an oiling once in awhile
to keep down any squeaking...)
and it seems to take some of the "sting" outta bumps i miss visually
and roll over still planted on the saddle
but as bruce pted out
saddles are so personal
its really hard to make a choice
based on others experience
one thing i can attest to
more than 20yrs in the bike biz
and have solds literally hundreds and hundreds of brooks
only one customer has ever decided he didnt like it
and i suspect
it may have been cuz
he chose a b17 narrow
a b17 standard was my recommendation
tho since he wouldnt try that
after disliking the narrow
who's to say
weight is no issue here
agree with grant
if i can put my hands on my hips
and grap any at all
weight on the bike
shldnt be my main concern...
just saying
peace
well behaved women rarely make history_ride yr friggin bicycle_
