Similarly, references to key=value pairs in single backticks are producing 
unexpected output:

Perhaps these days users might be less inclined to surround the key=value 
reference in backticks, but that has historically been a very common practice. 
For example, [this diary 
post](https://www.openstreetmap.org/user/Minh%20Nguyen/diary/403488) from 2024 
is now full of literal URLs that make it difficult to read.
