If the markers had been implemented as symbol layers, the fix would be to set
[`symbol-z-order`](https://maplibre.org/maplibre-style-spec/layers/#symbol-z-order)
to `viewport-y`. It isn’t clear to me that `Marker` supports this option out
of the box. If not, we’d need to sort the pins by latitude ourselves. This
workaround breaks when rotation is enabled: #6640.
