I'm a former UX engineer (now spatialist) I very much support the proposal to 
replace “center map” with just showing the coordinates at this place on current 
map - very much like Goog Maps: See screenshot:

Goal is to get the coordinates in one right-click and one left-click in an 
intuitive manner. That's exactly what this want's to achieve.
