Hello,
We have purchased the Radiator just few weeks ago.
Currently, we are using Merit Radius 4.2.1E for user AAA w/plain text
users file. Also we are using iPass Netserver for roaming users
inbound/outbound authentication.
Merit works as Proxy for the iPass Netserver. Merit can to control
Simultaneous usage through logged session.
We have Ascend MAX 4060, Cisco AS5300, 2511 terminal/network
access servers.
We have 3 types of dial-up users:
a.Internet+Email unlimited usage
b.Internet access only unlimited usage
c.E-mail access only
We are using Ascend data-filter, Cisco access-list (in the Filter-Id)
to for "Internet access only", "E-mail access only" users.
We have plan to add 3 more types of dial-up users, when finish
installation of new Radiator:
a.Internet+Email 15hours limited
b.Internet+Email 30hours limited
c.Internet+Email 60hours limited
I installed Radiator 2.16.2 on the Solaris 7 machine.
We are using 2 different IP address pool for dial-up users.
One is for Dynamic allocation, another one for Static allocation.
I am now trying to configure it and need help to configure Radiator.
1.We are planning MySQL to store user authentication/accounting
information into separate databases.
How can we to configure it?
2.We want to use Encrypted password for authentication rather plain.
How can we to configure it?
3.How can we to configure Simultaneous-Use limit=1 for some dial-up
users?
Is the Radiator control simultaneous usage through the NAS or itself.
Itself means Radiator checking logged session or to finger/snmp NAS.
Which is one used for the Radiator?
4.How can we to configure 15,30,60 hours limit on the Radius users
profile?
I mean when access limit hours to finish/expire, than users account change
to "E-mail access only" type.
5.How can we to log Called-Id, Caller-Id information to accounting
database?
6.How can we to configure Radiator as Proxy for iPass
Netserver?
7.How can we to configure dial-up users with Static IP address?
8.How can we to add Radius Attributes to dial-up users profile?
9.Which dictionary we should to use for both Ascend and Cisco NAS?
Any suggestion, help needed.
If possible, please send me configuration file to fit our case.
Best Regards,
Balgaa
