If it is a transient problem with the database, Radiator will try to reopen the
connection according to the SQL parameters in section 6.24 of the manual.
Have a look at sections 6.24.4 Timeout and 6.24.5 FailureBackoffTime.

Some people use MRTG for this purpose. There is a sample configuration in the
