Hello Yen,
you are using Sybase to get to MS-SQL, I think?
First, you need to add an entry to your Sybase interfaces file, telling it how
to get to your NT box. Here, we have DBD-Sybase on Solaris, and MS-SQL on
another NT server. We have allocated the name fred for that remote MS-SQL.
There is an entry in /opt/sybase/interfaces for it like this:
fred
master tli tcp /dev/tcp \x00020599cb3f9a020000000000000000
query tli tcp /dev/tcp \x00020599cb3f9a020000000000000000
You will have to change "cb3f9a02" to the hex IP address of your NT box. In
that example its the IP address of our NT server 203.63.154.2. Note also that
the default TCP port for MS-SQL is not the same as the one for Sybase. The
entry above has the port number for MS-SQL in it.
After you have done that, you should be able to use Sybase isql (if you have
it) to connect to the MS-SQL server with something like this:
isql -Uusername -Ppassword -Sfred

where username is an MS-SQL server user name (perhaps "sa"), and password is
their password.
When that is working, you can set Radiator up like this:
<AuthBy EMERALD>
DBSource dbi:Sybase:fred
DBUsername username
DBAuth password
...

What should I be entering in the radius.cfg for the DBsource section?
<AuthBy EMERALD>
DBSource dbi:Sybase:UNKNOWN
DBUsername myuser
DBAuth mypassword
..
..
</AuthBy>
Q1: what goes in the 'UNKNOWN'
Q2: Where does this UNKNOWN get configured? in My NT SQL 6.5 server or in
the /usr/local.sybase/interfaces file?
"UNKNOWN" must agree with an entry in your interfaces file.
Thanks!
