You can install the version from the github branch and test it out. (I already tested it locally, on OS X and on Windows in a virtual machine, but it would be great to have a Ubuntu test, as well.) If it works, I'll merge the changes, and then you should be able to upgrade the package again to the new published version. If you prefer not to install an unpublished version, that's fine too. I feel confident enough to merge the PR as-is.
