HtDP(2nd ed.) might be interesting approach, although it is probably a bit slower route, but I wonder about this: "Although the teaching languages borrow elements from the Racket language, this book does not teach Racket. Then again, a student who has completed this book can easily move on to Racket.", iow. whether teaching languages are subset of Racket meaning that 'learning Racket0 is then just a question of expanding the set?
