Scaling will always make the image less sharp, but you are right - scale works 
with GIF images but not jpg. 


 I have not checked the documentation.

Works well, except that the image is not enlarged. 
What should I do to force the scale? 
Scaling does work with .gif, 
but .gif gives less sharp images.
