1. No, we cannot and will not replace all tools. Quite the opposite, I foresee a future in which we will produce many more tools. [Your effort will make me think twice before I write a DrRacket or a Racket tool.] 2. Yes, we will reconsider every tool and question whether it is a tool or ought to be a linguistic construct We will question whether it is a mandatory part of the tool chain or whether it is an option. Finding this balance is hard, and the essay couldn't address this point well.
