Glad you could fix your issue. For what it's worth, I had the same kinds of problems with my French keyboard, and eventually I took the more extreme option to switch to a custom dvorak-like layout. Not sure how you well keyboard layouts can be customised on Windows, but if you want a more permanent and global (system wide) solution, that's something to consider.
