I have a few Racket-related topics about which I could make a 10 minute presentation. Assuming Racket 6 is out by then, that could be some good material, too. > People with opinions, what do you think of the format? Just FYI, not saying it's better, the handful of meetups I've been to so far all used a format like: Weeknight 6:00: Network. 6:30: Pizza. 7:00: A half dozen 10 minute presentations. 8:00: Network/bye This seems to work well for people stopping by after work, and leaving the rest of the evening for family or a big dinner or whatever people want to do. Sometimes there's an optional go-to-nearby-bar-X after. A gotcha is finding some company to sponsor pizza. If the crowd includes entrepreneurs, it seems a law firm or other services provider will do it. But even if that would be a good format, eventually, maybe that's not the way to kick it off.
