I'm pleased to say I got it working, with a tremendous speedup.
As it turns out, I had incorrectly placed:
(provide (all-from-out (planet untyped/snooze:2))
(snooze-interface-out))
after making my database object. While all the other calls continued
to work, call-with-transaction did not.
