Evidence has been brought to my attention that meanwhile spam accounts do subscribe to the mailing list, and then send spam as on-thread responses to senders and/or non-list recipients of messages, possibly spoofing the list as the legitimate sender or recipient.
If this has happened to you, please email me off-list with the offending email account(s).
