Hi all,

I saw that "spp" package has been removed from the repository because of
an error that has not been addressed.

https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/spp/index.html

The error was that the dependency package called "Rsamtools" is not
available on MAC (on all the other platforms it is available). Therefore
I was writing to the mailing list and several times also to Simon
Urbanek. But I never got a reply.

https://cran.r-project.org/web/checks/check_results_spp.html

Can you please give some advice how I should proceed now to get the
package back into the repository?

Thank you very much,
Carmen M. Livi

Dear Simon Urbanek,

Since a few weeks I am getting a CRAN-check error under OSX for the package
"spp" (https://cran.r-project.org/web/checks/check_results_spp.html):

"Package required but not available: ‘Rsamtools’

Rsamtools is available on Bioconductor and the error shows up only on MAC. Is
it possible that Rsamtools is missing in the repository of the architecture?

Thank you very much,
Carmen
