Hi All: I have a package whose main function is to download environmental data using a service. I have added some plot routines, As it is, my examples of just the downloads push the CRAN limits on time, so I want the plot examples to use data that has already been downloaded and stored as part of the package.
Questions: 1. Most appropriate place to store the example data (they will be .RData files). 2. What size of data set is considered to be getting too large to be appropriate to include in a package.
