have used both for a while and feel they are like pea and carrot together. it is extremely handy to use sqlite engine for heavy data management from r instead of using r directly. i am also wondering if i could define and register sqlite functions within r in the way similar to how we do in python. if this is doable in r, that will be perfect. any insight?
