Hi,
You could define a function that does the calculations for a given
data.frame and apply it to all your data.frames,
d1 <- data.frame(a=1:10, b=rnorm(10))
d2 <- data.frame(a=-(1:10), b=rnorm(10))
calculations <- function(d){
if(is.character(d)) d <- get(d)
transform(d,
c = a^2,
d = d[, 1] + d$b)
}
calculations(d1)
lapply(paste("d", 1:2, sep=""), calculations)
