Hello Marcia, I had a similar problem when I updated Tinn-R. Under XP, in the file Document and Settings\... \Application Data\Tinn-R\ini\Tinn.ini, I replaced sPathRGui=\bin\Rgui.exe by rguiPreferred=C:\R\bin\Rgui.exe (to adjust to your path)
It worked for me. I hope it will work for you.
