Thanks for the suggestion, I will re-post it on R-devel. By others, what I mean is that when I searched for solutions, I found other people also posted questions with their problems with kernlab installation on linux platform. I have no problem with kernlab installation on windows platform though.
Anyway, I will post it again on R-devel, with more details.
