Thank you very much for your replies , but what i don't understand from jim's
reply is this command
dates <- seq(tsp(x)[1]+5/12, tsp(x)[2], .5)
Removing the +5/12 gives me the perfect solution, while keeping it makes the
axis run from the second value plotted and the first value from my ts remains
without any corresponding value on the axis. What was the role of adding 5/12?
