Hello,

Try forming the sql statement with paste().

Name <- "Bobby"
sqlstatement <- paste("select * from file where ID = '", Name, "'", sep 
= "")
read.csv.sql("filename", sql = sqlstatement)

Note the opening and closing quotes around the name.
