Hello everybody, I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. But it isn't possible that each element of the if-condition is tested for each vector element?
y <- c(1:20) > y [1] 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 > if (y == c(4,5,9,11,17)) { print("yes") } else { print("no")} [1] "no" warning: In if (y == c(4, 5, 9, 11, 17)) { : Condition has length > 1 and only the first element is used > #It also doesn't work with this condition ==2 if (y == 2) { print("yes") } else { print("no")} [1] "no" warning: In if (y == 2) { : Condition has length> 1 and only the first element is used I guess it's a trivial problem.
