Hi,

I've been using R for a number of years and have always installed the newest
version when released. However I've just noticed that old versions of R are
taking up quite a lot of disk space.

lap-alastair:/ alastair$ du -h -d 1
/Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Versions/
266M /Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Versions/2.10
204M /Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Versions/2.11
459M /Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Versions/2.12
511M /Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Versions/2.13
478M /Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Versions/2.14
217M /Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Versions/2.15
32K /Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Versions/2.5
5.5M /Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Versions/2.6
84M /Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Versions/2.8
2.2G /Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Versions/

Do I need to keep any of the versions before the current (2.15). If I delete
all the previous versions will that have any impact on the current
installation, or is each version entirely self-contained?

Thanks.
