Dear all,

I installed Rmpi (without error messages), but when I try to load the
library in R I get the following error message:

 > library(Rmpi)
Error in dyn.load(file, ...) :
unable to load shared library '/Users/ebruch/Library/R/2.6/library/
Rmpi/libs/i386/Rmpi.so':
   dlopen(/Users/ebruch/Library/R/2.6/library/Rmpi/libs/i386/Rmpi.so,
6): Library not loaded: /Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Versions/2.5/
Resources/lib/libR.dylib
   Referenced from: /Users/ebruch/Library/R/2.6/library/Rmpi/libs/
i386/Rmpi.so
   Reason: image not found
Error in library(Rmpi) : .First.lib failed for 'Rmpi'
Error in dyn.unload(file.path(libpath, "libs", paste("Rmpi", .Platform
$dynlib.ext, :
   dynamic/shared library '/Users/ebruch/Library/R/2.6/library/Rmpi/
libs/Rmpi.so' was not loaded

My Rmpi library is installed, in the ~/Library/R/ subfolder. I tried
to install the Rmpi package from within R. and also did the R CMD
install from the command line, but neither of these seemed to help.

Do you have any idea what this error message means, and how I might
fix it? More generally, what is the most straightforward way to
install Rmpi on a Mac?

I'd be terribly grateful for any help.

Best wishes, Elizabeth
