I got a different set of results for the same search. While there were links
to posts to mailing list I also had present to me at least one hit for the
Patrick Burns' document. As someone who worked in text retrieval for 30+
years I'm not surprised that we are getting different results sets from
Google. PageRank isn't the only feature of Google. Try rerunning your search
at another time of day; you may be surprised by the variablility in the
results you get back.

Or you might want to read this recent news item from UK newspaper The
Guardian

http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2011/jun/12/google-personalisation-internet-data-filtering

If you have a Google account (such as GMail or Blogger) try logging out and
then conducting your search.

Regards, Trevor.
