sorry for being unclear:
my function func() is actually more complicated than that, and uses
random numbers to generate its result. If I run something like
vect = rep(func(), N)
I will get something like (x,x,x, ... ,x).
What is the right way to do that ?
There is no single "right" way.
You can use a for loop.
Have a look at sapply.
?sapply
While he is at that help page, the OP may want to look at the
replicate function as well. Perhaps:
vect <- replicate(N, func() ) # which is also a use of sapply
For example:
f <- function(x) 2*x+3
sapply(1:5,f)
But if your function does not use the input argument then sapply may
be overkill.
