It would be wonderful if the CRAN mirror had an easy way to set a "default CRAN mirror". Current behavior is to have to choose a CRAN mirror the first time a package is installed in a session. The closest mirror site is always the same for me, and I wouldn't wish to change it unless it were to be unavailable for an extended period of time.
