Thank you, Jan, for the report.
There was bug and that has been fixed in the mean time (not by me).
We (the development team) are very glad for everyone who uses R
2.5.0 alpha (soon "beta") and tells about any strange /
incompatible behavior {well, after having read 'NEWS'}.
