Fellow R Enthusiasts, I noted on the "R Installation and Administration" page, section C.9 that "--enable-R-shlib" is reported not to work for AIX. Has anyone made any further progress with this as of late? I've successfully compiled R 2.3.1 on AIX 5.2ML7 and AIX 5.3ML3. However, I'd really like to use RSPerl so I can attack R with Perl. Is there a way to do this without shared libraries enabled?
Any thoughts, advice, pointers would be greatly appreciated. Matthew Beason Analyst - Capacity Planning Harrah's Entertainment, Inc.
