I realised after working on the RGUI with R 2.3.0 on my laptop (Intel Pentium M 1.6 Ghz,512MB RAM) R raises my CPU usage to 100% constantly. Also when exiting RGUI some R processes remain active in the system and CPU usage is still at 100%.
