Please post any ideas you have to the mailing list as well. It will be useful to get some feedback (and it will be useful for the rest of us to see the discussion). There are some examples in the git docs but I've thought a bit about this for some of my own projects and it's hard to wrap one's mind around it. It might be useful for you to adopt Linus' model but that does not necessarily work in every case. Our workflows will not be the same as yours. -- --gh
