Yes, that's the key. To be useful it should be configured for the
local environment. That might just be the standard rcpthost plugin
or it might mean local changes too.
The only sane installation default is "reject all", but that's not
going to play well with many people. Not unless it is a case
of "make install && vim /etc/qpsmtpd/config".
The default config probably isn't going to be (and shouldn't be IMO)
that useful to almost everyone on this list. To my mind, it should be
'a drop in replacement for qmail', which to me reads that at it's base,
it accepts mail, and delivers it locally.
There are probably a whole bunch of near universal plugins that people
would run if they ran qmail in that configuration. Those would be where
I'd start when looking at what else should be included in the default
config.
I'm still a complete noob when it comes to qp, and having been able to
install up to that point without too spending too much time reading
would have been nice.
