That's not entirely possible I don't think - not unless you run qpsmtpd-async as root anyway. Because you need to write them as qmails (I think).

Sorry, right. So you could write a qmail-queue daemon (running as qmailq) that replicated the functionality, and send it over a tcp connection... That'd work. But it sort of seems to be getting out of scope. Why not just run qmail on another port and run async/smtp- forward?
