I am sure that everyone using qpsmtpd has their own customizations, as well as their own email/spam profile, which affects the amount of email their system can process.
I would like to set up a new system, and then stress test it to see what kind of traffic the system can keep up with. I am sure there could be a number of ways of rating and testing, including transactions per second, accounts per system, etc. Can anyone recommend specific tools (or even algorithms or methodologies) for doing this? Does anyone have any numbers for systems they are using, including their deviations from the default install? Thank-you.
