FYI: I'm hitting 100+ messages/second each (I have big traps) on several Sparc Solaris 2.8 using qpsmtpd-async. Dual and quad E450. So it does work real good ;-) That represents 1-3Gb logs for each machine per day if those LOGALERTs aren't turned off.
